I recently completed knitting some fingerless gloves using homespun EL and merino. The gloves were a little large so I felted them whilst on my hands (basically by rubbing together in very warm water with lots of soap). Now they fit very nicely indeed.
I've thought of making fingerless gloves, but have never gotten around to trying them. These look lovely and toasty warm!
